Have you ever had a generous thought of something you could do for someone but never did it? Then look at yourself after the moment past and think, man I should have done that? I think we all have at one point or another in our lives. It is so important that we examine our thoughts and determine if it is noble or not. But more importantly, do the thought and put actions behind the words. If we just think it, then it is just a thought. If we think it and then examine the thoughts and make sure it is pure, innocent and genuine, then do it.
James 1:22-25 NIV
[22] Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. [23] Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror [24] and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. [25] But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that by not doing the good we ought to do is committing sin?
Deuteronomy 8:20 NIV
[20] Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.
“We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.””
Acts 5:32 NIV

“For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.”

“But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”

May all your thoughts and actions be held captive to Christ.
